Baikal 7.62x54 single shot rifle

I looked at one of the over unders at Sail recently and was pretty shocked at how much flex there was between the barrels.....for $700 not a chance.

ever shot one?

try to flex it with your hands?

i have a 30-06 express that i tried to sell here and it wont leave home after i shoot it.... they are steel made like transbaikal express ... crude, heavy yes but reliable .... and there is no price for it.

I have the .410 / .22 version.... I too was surprised by the flex in the rifle barrel, but it shoots accurately every time.... Perfect gun to tag along checking the rabbit snares.....

The Baikal .410/.22 a trapper buddy has has worse barrel regulation than the modern Savage 24's.Maybe just his but not for me.Harold

Oh, don't get me wrong mbogo.... mine is no tack driver.... I use the .22 to dispatch anything in the traps at close range and the .410 is for in case i put a bunny up on the way in to check the set..... I wouldn't even try to shoot the .22 at anything over 10 yards, the sights are atrocious....
