I own one and have shot one. Excellent gun. Specfire shoots it like an ace. Major problem with the gun is a lack of mags. I seen Vikings for sale sometimes on the board for almost half what I payed. Amazing gun if you can get it cheap too!

are you having problems with cycling? A friend has one and it's a jamomatic..
It seems the recoil spring is stiffer then it should be.. I loaded some +P 9mm for him, cycled like magic. Factory though is hit and miss..

The gun is designed for ammo above the +P+ range so that explains the recoil spring and the rather thick chamber walls. Though I did not have problems cycling any ammunition even some garbage underloaded reloads from a local shooting range. Shot both Winchester white box and UMC without issue.

I still figure his spring is the proble. If you can shoot WWB out of yours no problem there should be no issue with his.
Any idea where recoil springs for this gun can be ordered?

It's a good idea to clean the gun as it most likel was in storage and there is a lots of grease in the extractor path...

Excellent gun. Brother has one. Came close to buying one myself.
I'll have to make do with some Sig 210s, a S&W M52, and a Pardini SP new for a while longer, I guess. :D

My first choice in plastic frame pistol.

I have no probs with cycling, give it a good cleaning and plenty of oil when its new.

Its Russian built like tractor, I dont know why you`d need a steel one its got a ton of steel inserts at the stress points, makes Glock look like squirt gun.

I also need more mags....

Scarecrow is lying .. I'm horrible with it ;)
I love my Viking ... It shot anything I fed it without a hiccup. From what I saw, favorite on the menu was 124gr ammo for accuracy.

Speckfire how does it compare to Steyr? you have both don't you?

Very good question. Yes I do have both. Wow..they are different. Even the polymer is different. My Steyr is 40 and the Viking is 9mm. I'll have to put them side by side and take pics for you.
