I'm looking to buy a new 3.5" semi 12 ga with a 24" VR barrel, camo synthetic furniture, screw chokes. Looking to spend $750.00 Tax In. The Baikal at E. Epps looks to fit the bill. Anybody have the dirty on them??? Good-Bad-Indifferent? All comments welcome.

In my opinion, it is the most "value for the money" semiauto on the market.
I have been using the Baikal semiauto for the last four seasons. Very pleased with this firearm. My fellow hunter uses one too and he is a very happy camper as well. Here are some of our photos:

Nice looking hardware and obviously kill. I've had an 11-87, an Ithaca and a Franchi. Found the Rem heavy, the Ithaca and Franchi too long for upland swinging. Purchased a BLR from Epps and found them to be great to deal with as well. They might not be the cheapest in pricing but I'm willing to spend the extra for the service.
I have one, also from Ellwood Epps, there is a store here (open on weekends and the odd evening) that sells the synthetic black Baikal for $475 and the camo version for $530 (camo is better than it used to be)
If you can find a slightly used one, you can save yourself a few bux on shells as they need a break in period.

The first, a 20ga hammer dbl, came new from Sports Equipment Specialists in Montreal, as did my TOZ .22LR and my Beretta 20ga single, back in the late sixties.
The current 16ga dbl came used from Accuracy Plus. Also a mid-sixties gun.
From Epps I've gotten rare ammo and peep sights and scope rings.
Buy it. You'll love it.
