Baikal single shot .20g

I had one. It's a perfectly good utility grade gun. It always worked and I thought it was good enough that a friend has it now.

Baikal

I had the sporting version (MC stock, ported barrel) for what I paid for it, it was a good clay gun. Traded it in towards my current clay buster.

 My first shotgun, some 40 or so years ago! Look where it got me::dancingbanana: Shooting clays all over the World, writing about it, shooting several hundred birds a year and meeting very interesting folks from all over year in!:runaway:

Use it well and switch to a target gun asap!
Henry;)

I have a late 80's Baikal 20g single, one tough built gun. The barrel is one of the thickest I've ever seen, almost 1/8 " thick. It has the Made in U.S.S.R. logo on the side, a bit of nostalgia

i'll have a look for the logo.I do remember though, this was back in '88-'89 when I was living in Chatham N.B.(A.D./Air Force base) it seemed the locals relied on the Baikal shotgun purchased from the local CDN Tire.I remember a couple fella's re-loading thier guns to almost the same speed as my Win.1200.
I would have to guess/assume that this is gun that provides affordability and puts food on the table for those less fortunate or those who prefer one shot, kinda like myself I guess. My main hunting tool for big-game is a T/C Encore.

I bought mine in 1985 at the Kmart for 60.00. great gun for grouse and rabbits. Sold it stupidly and ended up getting it back 5 years later.Never part with it again. Ended up with a 12 gauge also not quite a good of a shooter but I bought it too. Mine likes Federal #4's for grouse

Well I picked it up today..$75.00 no PST:D
It has Moddel ??-18M on the left and Made in USSR on the right. Its in "excellent" condition, I can't wait to take a few bunnies or birds with it:D :D :)
Does anyone know what choke it might be,full or mod.
Cheers,
