15 years ago you would seldom see a Magpie in NW ontario....now they are all over the place .

If in or near an urban area, MacDonald's cheese burgers, complete with yellow wrapper nearby, its a Magpie Magnet.. who said MacDonald's food wasn't good for anything????

Is that what you guys used to kill saskatchewan peacocks back in the day? I thought that beaver/coyote carcasses laying around the yard was your special bait? I guess times have changed...

IIRC, In BC they are considered section 12 birds and can be killed any time without limit as they are not domestic and are harmful to the domestic bird population.

In the interior I saw them harrasing cats of all things.. Pretty funny to watch them gang up on a poor cat.
