Just got my Baker rifle kit from the Rifle Shoppe and it is a thing of beauty.The walnut stock is full of figure and should finish up real nice.The stock is also inletted superbly and it should be no problem in putting this baby
together.If anyone wants an authentic Baker then I highly recommend this kit.It only took about two months for delivery so time wise that wasn t bad.I also got the kit with and assembled lock and all the barrel work done to save some time and it is worth the extra cost in my books.

yes the barrel is rifled.This is an exact reproduction of the original ,cast from parts from an original Baker rifle.Looking at the parts you can see a big difference from this and the made in India guns , which first are made from the wrong stockwood to start with and are big and clunky plus they come with a mechanical tubing smooth bore barrel.In my opinion that though you are paying double the price of an India gun for the Rifle Shoppe kit, you are getting 5 times the gun.Also if you are interested the rifle shoppe at last count has a few of the Bakers in stock.
