Baldr S Mini on a Shotgun

The adjustable position mechanism and the clamp would be the obvious weak points, maybe .45 auto will expand on what he was shooting and how it flew apart and maybe if he was able to reassemble the two removable sections or if it broke..... :)

I've noticed the baldr doesn't always clamp securely to every rail depending on the rail specs.... it would be nice if there was a bit more adjustment on the throw lever that tensions both the clamp and the sliding interface that is designed to allow the unit to mate up with the trigger guard of a pistol better.

If you're going Olight - use this instead. I've had it on a PC9, Mossberg 940 Pro, and now it's on a Charles Daly 301 Tactical.

That's unfortunate.
Can you elaborate, did the qd clamp let go all together or the sliding/rail feature fail?
The sliding rail stayed on, with all the teeth, but the rest of it was in pieces. I actually like the company. I always have an Arkfeld Ultra or i3t oes light on me. I have Valkeries on rifles. Every keychain I have rocks a little light of theirs. When it comes to the Baldr series, they've all had problems. One wouldn't adjust. They don't keep zero as well as a cheap Feyachi. Speaking of Feyachi, their lights never flew off my shotguns, after hundreds of rounds. My Streamlight is great. I'd recommend them.

That was a 12ga Mossberg firing 2&3/4" Score slugs, with a Magpul mlok forend and Magpul mlok to 1913 Picatinny rail. I figured it might be a lemon, but the same happened with an FD12 and Baldr mini RL.

Thanks for clearing up what shotguns and what load, do you happen to remember if it broke at the weak point I mentioned? Or how exactly it broke? Were you able to recover the pieces and send it back to Olight for warranty replacement?

It's great to hear about your experience .45 auto, it would be also good to hear how it broke and how Olight treated you?

I ordered a red dot from them recently during their black friday sale and I ordered the wrong one by mistake.... I've just replied to a third email to a nameless customer service person or ai agent that seems to be struggling to read and comprehend some important details..... first time dealing with them about a problem.

Sorry I missed your reply above to GimpyGolden...... :)

Was Olight supportive with warranty? Did they offer you a refund or replacement?

The one that wouldn't adjust right out of the box was replaced. They wanted to see a video and pics, which showed one hole was missing the entire inner threaded sleeve and obviously set screw. They actually sent a green laser one, which had more lumens in the flashlight. It was nice for my 9" BBL GSG-16, but they'd move around on my 9x19mm Sub 2000 and WK-180C. Let's just say I wouldn't buy their red dots or any more firearms accessories. I would highly recommend an i3t 2 oes though. Sweet tiny flashlights.
