I've been using iSnipe for years but it seems to have been overtaken by newer apps and technology. iSnipe has not been updated in 7 years now.
Any suggestions for a good Ballistics App?
Applied Ballistics or Strelok Pro
When I went to a kestrel with custom curves loaded and AB, the solutions were better that Strelok. No lots better, but my elevation is perfect now. In there I went from using SK to using Eley Match,so that didn’t hurt.
Is Applied Ballistics worth the $40 cost?
I really like strelok pro. I understand it’s not available now with the sanctions though. If/when mine stops working I’ll probably go with the AB app. I found the 4DOF interface clunky and annoying. Strelok just has a lot of nice features. There’s even a library of reticles for different scopes and you can play around with different targets at various ranges. I’ll be bummed when it stops working.
The reticle thing is for those who cannot understand FFP optics and turrets matching reticle subtentions. Yesterday at the range I was again reminded of the extensive absolute BS that many shooters think they “know”. In another recent conversation hitting big steel at 1K with a precision rifle was celebrated. Many shooters are not educated, but they also are not interested in considering better tools and procedures.
