Ballistics App

They are all similar. Just pick one that is easy for you to understand. I thought Hornady was awkward until I have it some time. Now I like it. I also added the target group measuring through it. Works well.
I started with isnipe, Ballistic AE, Strelok pro, Hornady, and Geo. Geo is good for ranging fields to shoot or hunt on, minus potential elevation problems. Some apps are more confusing switching from meters to yards, or changing environmental stuff.

strelok is still available for Android if you know how to google words and "apk"

V6.4 I believe. I used it for a bit, but keep in mind nothing beats making your own DOPE

A friend of mine has the Kestrel and it sucks balls for user interface. It's like using an old school flip phone.

Eh?! You’ve never used one? So…you’re an expert? Or it’s the old “a buddy of mine says…” scenario. And that’s God to you?

Take it from someone who actually uses one. And has for almost 7 years, most of those with AB. The menus to set up different rifles with all the data points means consistency. My Terapin range finder connects to the Kestrel so no manually entering distances if you use the rangefinder. And then throw in the fact that it measures environmentals too… and really what more does one need?

The user “interface” can’t be more intuitive or easy. Ok, you need to press a few buttons. It’s not Windows based point & click. But if you can’t push a few buttons….well…

wow!

With some practice it does work well. It is not intuitive though. Yes, I use one. That being said, even the 5700AB leaves a lot of room for improvement to bring in the non-obsessed keeners.

The Revic Ops is pretty good. I haven't had much experience with an app in years but this one is pretty straight forward.

It has a teeny monochromatic screen. Sure, I can push buttons ... I just don't want to and having to button scroll up and down constantly is so .... 1990.

The Hornady Kestrel is slow and clunky to enter and ypu wait for information to process. Wind and Bluetooth is all I look for in a Kestrel.

How many of the new apps use the 4 Degrees of freedom? I know Hornady does for sure. I just read in my Vortex manual for my 4000GB that it uses 3DOF. I know that the Revic uses 4DOF. I heard not many use that technology yet. Anybody know?
