Maybe it's just me but I am noticing a trend on the pistol and revolver EE - when one model goes up for sale, many more follow along with WTBs of same models. In the past few days members been selling their GP100s. A few months ago CZ75 variants were popular. Is there something I don't know????

I think people are on the fence about selling and when they see one selling for $150 more then what they would ask they list theirs at $50 less in hopes of selling it for a bit more then they would normally want.

It's the ebb and flow of the open market. More supply can boost interest and create more demand. Conversely, more demand can also create more supply, especially in a used market. A few months ago Ross rifles were the big up trend on the Milsurp EE, now that seems to have subsided.

Very true.....folks notice firearms on EE selling at very high prices , often times , more than what they paid for the firearm new......so they figure , " hey if that gun sold at that price , I will sell mine as well "......free enterprise at work......

Its not a conspiracy, its a coincidence and nothing more. Does it bother you or concern you?

It's a small group of importers and price fixers! LoL! But seriously no, just curious. I had a GP100 I let go early, suddenly Obama stepped in, and Ruger had no more coming north... Kinda regret selling cuz I could have enjoyed to today and still got same sell price.

As a hobby I try to have a budget and try not to be a collector. When selling I expect to not recoup taxes I paid and lose a bit more in shipping. Most of the time I undersell just to justify a new purchase... I feel guilty spending so much in this hobby because I am a practical guy. I am an addict!

" when one model goes up for sale, many more follow along with WTBs of same models " Most of the WTB's that you see are people who want one, just not at the price the seller thinks it's worth. It can be a subtle hint to the seller that if/when it doesn't sell after the 2'nd or 3'rd btt the can contact someone for a fast sale.

A fellow on here once told me that he would list his gun as soon as he saw a want ad for what he had. He claimed that he had a possible customer for sure and maybe a lot of others as well.

I know that I think the deal over way longer when someone comes to me trying to sell me a gun, rather then if I see one for sale on the EE that everyone else has the same chance as I do to get it.

You cannot control the sale as well as you might be able to if no one else but you knows about the deal and as others have stated these things for whatever reason seem to go and come in bunches.
