I bought a Leupold vari -x 1 years back and have had no trouble with it at all.
I was wondering though, what kind of hit/bang can a scope like mine take before you worry.
To be more clear, I had my rifle in a padded case in the back seat of my buddies truck. We got the truck stuck and with the back and forth of getting the truck out and leather seats, the rifle slipped onto the floor. I took it out tothe range ans was a littlke higher than I what I set it at but the windage was fine.
I've often wondered what the difference is between the energy of the bullet discharge and dropping a scoped rifle.
Anyone have any insights?
