Banging head on wall!

O.k. see what I'm talking about, this posting is starting to turn into all the others.

"I like this brand.....I like that brand"

I guess I'll just have to get off my wallet and buy a scope already!
 
Scopes are just as much a personal chice as the rifle. Like most have said here don't cheap out. All of my rifles wear VXL and VXIII scopes that cost as much or more than the rifle, I could buy whatever I want and Leupold is my choice. I also worked a hunting counter and saw every make come in for service and Korth is by far rhe best in the business IMO..
 
So I finally got off my wallet and picked up a scope. Its not what I expected, but I think I got a great deal.

Its a Zeiss conquest 3.5-10x44.... what do you think.

I don't have it yet, I got it off of EE. Now I'm looking at scope mounts and bases. Not much selection for my Thompson encore. Found a few interesting places in the states.

I talked to a guy at Cabelas today, and he said I'd have to go with high rings, but I think I could get away with medium. I read that the objective is 50mm. This is less than 2 inches, and I think most medium rings will clear that. Only thing is hammer clearance?!?
