My money is on the russian.

Lets not forget who our PM is, i dont see him signing something like that, he hates obama.

LMAO...love those photos!

on a side note, some range i know are playing with the idea of 7.62x39 ban, but only because their inherent tendency to bounce and ricochet(their argumentation,i dont realy know myself)....maybe because they're cheap too?lol.

Hmmm I think the johns, (Marstar-Wolverine) would be able to debunk this rumor. With 70,000 sks's on there way into the country... and having no real ammo to shoot... just doesnt make sense......

The ban of 7.62X39 ammo has been discussed extensively for over two years so the discussion here is not new.

Just do a Google search for "7.62X39 ban" and you will see how many forums such as this one have discussed the possibility.

Personally, I don't believe that it will ever happen but who am I to say.

WELL NOW, here we go with yet another rumor.... How many is that now ?

If they do ban it in Canada we are going be stuck with quite a bit of it, we have almost 20 million rds scheduled for the next 12 months.

Thanks Johnone, that should put this to rest. The gun shop owner was talking about no more import licenses being issued for future shipments if this agreement was passed. People in your position are our best source to fight miss information. I do not believe he had any ulterior motives, sales or other wise he just knew I had recently bought a CZ858. I disagreed with him at his shop but I will admit I was concerned enough to research it online. I did not find anything so I asked this forum to see if people in the industry were aware of potential laws we as a community must fight collectively.

16 posts and zero trader rating... bet this is some dealer trying to boost sales or a troll.

As with most forums there are always those who would rather attack the poster rather than offer constructive information. I am not a dealer, or troll, what ever the F that is. My zero trader rating is what ever member starts with & 16 posts ........................hmmmmm as one must gage how anything will be taken unless you are an established member, fewer post are likely better. CanadianGunNutz is a great source of information from some very knowledgeable people for that I am grateful. I do think I missed the thread on acceptable topics to bring up or safe questions to ask.

The US just went through this whole rumor thing with the "obama banning primer sales" Guys bought into the rumor thing and went bananas buying up boatloads of primers. These rumors are nothing more then some anti gunners pipe dream that he tells some gullable gun owner.
When I google 7.62x39 ban I see no evidence of anything, just a bunch of nervous SKS owners going in panic mode and posting their worries on gun forums.

Cheers!!

John

20 million rounds! That's almost 18 thousand 1120 round crates. Wonder how many would fit in my garage? :D

John I love your posts - always cool info and a guy can count on it not being BS!

What a crock. Every store I've been to in the GTA or up north in Bantario has had at least five crates ( if not more ) in stock. My local range gets a skid of x39 every two weeks, and has been for the last six months. Since one of the biggest dealers in canada ( if not NA ) aka marstar has 20 million rounds coming.. i think we'll be fine for a while ;)

Jon - do you offer discounts if I buy five crates at once? :p
