Banning the Red Ryder BB gun

I sat on my deck swing and had many a pleasant aft break picking 'Hoppers' off the Hops climbing the Page wire. They are actually decently accurate.

There's at least one. I once read a story in Machine Gun News about a silenced .22 rifle. I can't remember what action it used, but externally, it had been made to look like a Daisy bb gun, and it didn't sound much different, either. It was undoubtedly a one-off, but still the Red Ryder is a variant of it.

I have mine from when I was a kid thanks to my mom not throwing away certain things we as kids loved or used all the time, it works but doesn’t have a ton of pressure when it shoots. It puts a dent in a beer can but unlike my friends new Red Ryder it won’t put one through it. I was reading about rebuilding the gas system but I haven’t pulled it apart yet.
