I don't think you are allowed to link to anything here. Why do you want these guys?

Ian
I need a classic, lightweight stock, right hand, M700, BDL, w/cheekpiece, that would be suitable for a mountain type rifle in 257 Roberts. :)

I know that you make great target style stocks but do you make light weight hunting style ones?

Thanks,

Outdoors

I have a couple Wildcats, they are light, affordable, and I can go and get one in person, no waits. But I dont think his 700 stocks have a cheek piece...could be wrong havent bought one in a couple years. If you are trying to save weight, I know he inletted a few model 7 stocks for the 700's.

We have <20oz stocks in a few different designs. GP Hunter, Long Range Hunter, Dak 97, Dak 76, Dak 76 Junior, Dak Predator, Dak Kiss, RCI Silhouette right, RCI Silhouette left, RCI Thmbhole and perhaps a few I don't remember right now. Pad not included in weight, weight after inletting.

I looked at you sight and found that the hunting stocks weighed 3lb 2oz. I would be interested in a lighter one if you stock them.

General Purpose Hunting / Ambidextrous

Designed by John Geiges. Intended for the Nesika tang but works well with many different actions. Like the name implies, an all purpose hunting style stock which will work in just about any hunting situation.

-Overall length 30.50”
-Width at top for action 1.75”
-LOP 14.00 max plus pad”
-Depth at action 2.00”
-Width at action 2.05”
-Depth at tip 1.25”
-Width at tip 1.65”
-Weight inletted ~3 lbs 2 oz.

We build them the weight you like. The original designer wanted a heavy stock in this case.

Ian, do you have inletting programs for Winchester pre-64 Model 70's? and is the Dakota 76 pattern compatible ?

What level of recoil will you guarantee with a 20 oz blank ?

What is the cost of a inletted blank with the molded in color ?

Thanks

I don't know what Ian will guarantee for a recoil level with a 20 .oz blank, but I will guarantee you will feel the recoil with a 20 .oz stock:p

One reason a target rifle is so heavy is to help tame the recoil. Do you want to lug around a heavy rifle in order to get lighter recoil. Or a light rifle and get kicked when you shoot it.
Myself, I like the feel of a heavier rifle, but then again I have never felt the recoil when shooting a deer, bear or moose.

If you will shoot it we will guarantee it at 20oz. A stock in one colour is 260 and 25 for an extra colour. All our stocks have a finished surface and don't need paint. Inlet is extra.

How much extra is inletting ? and what actions and barrel contours do you have programs for (I assume you CNC these like a McMillan)

What is delivery time for a hunting rifle pattern, fully inletted, no pad or paint?

Thanks

Inletting is 135 and it is done cnc. We have most actions but definately not all and some we can inlet without the action but can not do bolt notch etc without the action. We are fairly caught up from spring right now so 4 - 8 weeks and our stocks are not painted as standard.

Can you post a picture of a Dakota 76 or 97 blank? (or email to rgv at uniserve.com)
