The front sight ramp on my older BAR appears to be soldered on. In my efforts to remove it I have applied a moderate amount of heat with a plumbers torch but it won't budge. Can anyone offer some advice.
Your front sight is hi-temp silver soldered on. It will require a high heat to remove it. At which time it will discolor the blueing around the front sight area and leave you a white patch with hi-temp solder residue. It will look ugly.
