BAR ShorTrac Hog Stalker in 308

Anybody know if the BAR ShorTrac Hog Stalker 308 is for sale in Canada (with a 5 rounder of course)? I see it on U.S. sights with a 10 round mag but nothing in Canada!

I see Ellwood Epps carries them in 7mm WSM and 300 WSM. I didn't see any .308 listed but they could probably get you one.

I think it's the same as the FNAR, I haven't looked into it yet.

Alright, I've been reading up on this and there is very limited info out there. So if anyone has any questions about the actual gun other than shooting....feel free to ask. As far as I can tell, it is almost identical to the FNAR heavy. There are no flutes on the barrel. Here are some pictures.

Browning doesn't have a factory. FN makes them. Some Browning sporting guns have been made in Japan, not sure if any are currently. It was a long-standing arrangement that Browning sold FN-built Browning designs in N.America under the Browning name, FN sold them elsewhere as FN (e.g. Browning HiPower, FN P-35.) In the more recent past FN established production facilities in the U.S. to get contracts to supply the U.S. military and police markets, and the FNAR rifle came out of that.

I would want one if they made them without the decorative finish.

I would have preferred to have the fnar, the camo was definitely not the selling feature for me. I'll be shooting it this Sunday. I'll do a review.... Here's to hoping for some sub moa shooting.

Can you post a few pictures of the magwell and how it attaches to the receiver?

I am wondering if it could be added onto any short-trac easily or not. Also wondering if they make those in long action, all the ones I've heard of are short-action. Thinking maybe it's a longtrac receiver and the extra length is used to fit the magwell.
