So, just wondering what a stripped, bare Norinco mfg [full sized frame with grip screw bushings in & .45 ejector, but no other parts] frame only is worth?

Registered with a FIN # but has no serial number & no other markings. This was not one of the Can Am 'no markings' Norc 1911A1's.

Just wondering if I should keep it for a 'custom build' or complete a dedicated "lower" for a .22 conversion kit?

Strange all my norcs have a serial # on the front of the frame. Although some are barely visible still there.

I have not seen a Norinco 1911 frame without a serial #.
I have purchased quite a few to build custom shooters.
I have paid $80-100 for new condition bare frames.

Some years ago there were a number of Norinco 1911 frames that had no serial numbers.
Completely bare. I had one. They had to have a sticker on them provided by the CFC
with a unique number on them. That number on the sticker was the serial number.
I spoke to them about having that number stamped into the frame as the glue on the
sticker might come loose. Nope, Have to leave the frame alone as it is against the law. Go figure.

IMO there is no extra value to them over one with the stamped serial number.

I got this frame a couple years back. It was already registered with the CFC, then. It has a FIN# associated to it on the regs. When I received the regs cert where the serial number info normally is, it's blank. There was no "sticker" supplied with it from previous owner & the CFC did not send me one with my new regs cert or any paperwork to indicate that it requires a sticker.

I wasn't thinking that it had any extra value as one without a stamped serial number. It is interesting that it is completely unmarked, though.

So, as a guide, given the responses, as a bare frame, it's worth is somewhere around $100, give or take.

I have a new complete one for sale @ $425 now, brand new, so, yea probably $100. - $125. Forca stripped frame!

I've had one of the Can Am deal ones. Scored it used on EE for around $350 shipped. They were/are a pretty good deal for a fully functional 1911A1!

They dress up pretty nice, too... [Colt S70 trigger & new grips]
