Finally got my Barnard 308 Win put together and started load development. A few loads show promise, and I am confident it will be a sub 1/2 MOA shooter, in spite of being in a sporter style stock (which is top of the line).
Barnard SM action / Jewell trigger / HS mag system / Krieger 1:12 barrel /
Robertson Hunter stock. Smith: Dave Harry

Initial load development shot at 100M...guessed at 45.0 Var behind 155 Ber VLD (H) and Lapua Brass to start...top target set...then went down to 43.0 and took it up to 47.gr (2968 fps). Looks like i will find the sub 1/2MOA sweet spot between 45 - 46 grs.

Nice rig you made up very nice, for me the Barnard action is the best action out there, and what can you say about Robertson stocks. My friend built a rifle similar to you he used a Barnard P action with Barnard trigger, I have a S with Jewell pretty hard to beat.
Only differance his is a 30" Tru Flite 1/13 T as he will shoot TR he was testing last fall with 155.5 gr Match Fullbore Target .308 155.5 and Varget at max 46++ he shot a .748"
5 shot group at 300y.might want to try the 155.5 and another powder working very very good is VT150.
Iam sure with a little testing you will have a .250 rifle nice rig thanks for posting keep us posted how load development come along. who was smith
