barnaul hard primers?

Was out at the range today with my Rem 600 in 308 and was trying out some 140 308 barnaul fmj, every 2nd or 3rd round had to be struck twice. then fired some american eagle and that fired fine. Is it the Barnaul primers that are to hard for my firing pin or is it my spring that is too weak to reliably fire it?

Barnaul has some very tough primers since the ammo is made for semi-auto rifles which hit a lot harder than your Remington 600. Its a combo of both.

would you believe a stronger wolff spring would make a difference. i do like to shoot cheap stuff.

A reloading press would make a difference. Cheap .308 brass cased stuff at the price of the Russian steel case stuff.
