I have been a hand loader for a long ,long time. I like to try new bullets. This year the Barnes 110gr TTSX looked good to me for my 270 win. Fast,no fragmentation, low recoil, good penetration, accurrate.Shot a spike horn about 175 yds in the lower neck. The deer looked to be dead when it hit the ground. This is only one deer and the shot was well placed but I was impresses with the bullet.
Barnes TTSX 110gr, 58.5 gr IMR4350 , Win.brass, Win mag primers,COL3.25

I am shooting these out of my 270 win. also, I am using Barnes recommended load of H4350 and my gun shoots 0.5" groups. Shot one deer with them at approx. 80 yards, made a huge hole in (big enough to get my hand through) and out. These performed very well, but if you concerned about meat loss they wouldn't be for you, I would rather have the deer on the ground where I shoot it and lose a little more meat than the whole deer.
