Barnes 120g ttsx 6.5mm

I developed an accurate load for my tikka 6.5x55 with 120 ttsx, chronies at 2850. Then I won a .243 in a raffle, so I used that to hunt this year. 85 gr Nosler Partition at 3050 smoked my broadside whitetail at 100 yards this year and ruined its day. I'll try again in April with the black bears.

Whatever you do ..don't try Re#22 or this could happen .....PS Unless you are picking out your wife's purses don't let her pick out your bullets.

I made the switch to barns tsx and ttsx projectiles a few years back.
I have enjoyed excellent performance on several medium sized game ( black bears , deer , moose ) with these rounds

the sticky at the top of this forum has an excellent bullet comparison done by BCsteve which shows the expected performance from TTSX and TSX projectiles.

another plus for solid copper projectiles is the lack of lead coming into contact with your meat.
there are some really cool photos and xrays of game meat shot with jacketed lead rounds. Some of the xrays of deer shot with lead bullets shows a startling amount of lead fragments in the processed meat.

^^^^^ Probably the number one reason I switched to copper when hunting to fill the freezer,,,,,no dispersion of heavy metals into the meat. 99+% weight retention.

Thanks a lot to all of you !!

I will get a box of those for sure ! so what kind of AOL I will get with a T3 ( all I can do is feed Quickload with data for now ........)

and for Mbongo3 : I've tried r22 one of the best but sometime hard to find. The real best one for the swede is Norma MRP!!! but the best North american alternative is 7828ssc.
I also tried many bullets : 130g Nosler accubond . 130g Berger , 140 A-max , 140 Burger VLD, 129g Accubond long range .......and please don't hide your flyer with a dime...... we all know the size of a 6.5mm caliber bullet !!!!!
