Barnes 165 TSX .300 WSM X Bolt Loads

H4350 worked great for me with the 168 gr version.

I was using the old semi approved Barnes Data and the load was hot. Just work up for the new data. GReat combo.

John Barsness from handloader put me onto H4350 and it worked great.

Pretty much have it narrowed down to 4350 or RL17 but at over a buck a cartridge would prefer to narrow the range in shooting the ladder hence the request for what works based on specific rifle & bullet. May end up trying a fairly narrow range mid load level and up, watch for pressure and keep fingers crossed that it is where it wants it loaded.

Imr 4350 @ 66gr with both 155gr and 168gr.bullets. 208 210 gr bullets like W 760 at 59.8gr. Thats mine anyway. Go to mysticprecision.com and check out what Jerry has to say about load development. Its a great read.

Something I found using TSX's you have to remove the fowling from other copper plated bullets before using TSX's in it(mine anyway). The copper is harder on plated lead than on the tsx's. I had found the sweet spot with a clean barrel and then shot some plated lead bullets, went back to the tsx's different seating depth, and they started to fly out to 5 inches at 100 yards. It took hours to clean that 270 cal barrel. After 4 hours of cleaning went back out and shot .75 inch groups.
My 2 cents.
