Barnes 270 load info

Those two powders are a little too fast on the burn rate to be optimum in the .270 Winchester cartridge......If you can get your hands on RL-22, H4831, or at least something with the burn rate of IMR4350 or slower, you will be good to go.....

I worked up to 59.0 grains of H4831 with CCI-200 primers and Remington brass.....excellent load

It sounds like you're trying to use 308 powders in the 270.....

I just finished working up a load with RL 19 and 130 ttsx, infact just finished loading them an hour ago for this hunting season. Just like the barnes manual shows it gave me good velocity, the best of all the powders I experimented with, and the accuracy is very good. Save the 4064 for some plinking loads with cheaper bullets perhaps, I used it in a 7 mag I used to have and it was very accurate with a 140 sierra, just not very high velocity that's all.
