I've shot sub-MOA from my Tikka M55 308 using 150gr T-TSX sitting above 42.5gr RL-15, CCI 200, R-P Brass, C.O.L 2.79"

Avg 2850FPS MV out of 24" barrel.

Good little pill.

When I shot 308 with the 150 TTSX I also used H4895. It's such a versatile powder, and you can safely use it for reduced loads too. Great stuff. Just start with the starting loads and work up. I just stopped at the first accuracy node and didn't worry about maxing out speed. I think it was around 42 grains.

I have wasted my life shooting, reloading, hunting and F Class competion.

Firstly, you have chosen my favorite projectile for 308 hunting loads. I load them in multiple calibers. They give stellar results on game. 9 out of 10 barrels will love them. 1 will hate them. Hope your barrel likes them. On a side note, they are forgiving on seat depths. After years of loading them, I start at 0.030" off the lands and most like that. Check your magazine length to fit.

In my 29.5" F Class barrels (5th barrel so far) I shoot between 3000 and 4000 rounds a year with 155 Lapua Scenars. I to a ladder test and have seen everything for, 44.4 to 46.5 grains give me the best groups. So, test, test, test! With that barrel length, velocities are okay to stay supper sonic at 900 metres. If you are 22" bbl you don't have quite as a forgiving situation.

Just for info, most F class 308 use either Varget or RL 15 in competion for best accuracy. I find extreme variation lot to lot with Varget and have to redo development each time. Not anywhere as much with RL 15. When I use up my current 40 lbs from this lot, I will be switching to RL 15.

As a side note when working up 150 TTSX for my model 88 and especially my Savage 99CD, I get pressure signs way before I do in my bolt guns.

Good luck! You will love that bullet.

I have tried Varget, RL 15, BLC2, TAC, and CFE 223 with generally good results. Go by the manuals loads and watch for pressures. Personally I have seen pressure signs with BLC2 before max loads.

PS, do yourself a favour and spring for Lapua Brass. You will be surprised by the accuracy improvement because it is so consistent with so little variation. Every single f class shooter I know in 308 use nothing else.
