Why bother when any conventional cup and core RN would be perfect at the velocities offered by the 35Rem? I'd just buy Hornady 200gr RNs and forget about it.
That would work - but I'll make it more better for youI'd just buy Hornady 200gr RNs and forget about it.
I think the 200gr Remington SP_CoreLokt is the better choice - engineered and made specifiically for the 35Rem and it's pedestrian velocity. The same is not true of the Hornady 200RN (hard core is for higher speeds - 2800+ - 3% antimony according to Hornady tech if I recall rightly). That said, I'ved used it myself in my 35Rems too - mainly for targets and as hunting backups if I ever run out of the Rem 200gr SP_CLs.I'd just buy Remington SP_CoreLokt 200gr RNs and forget about it.
I mention Hornady as they seem to be easier to find these days than Remington bulk bullets. I used to buy the Rems all the time, but bullet selection from the mail order supliers seems to be getting smaller.I think the 200gr Remington SP_CoreLokt is the better choice - engineered and made specifiically for the 35Rem and it's pedestrian velocity. .
Yes that's true - the Rem 200gr SP_CLs are sure harder to find now up here north of de border - and the 200gr Hornady RNs are everywhere....but bullet selection from the mail order supliers seems to be getting smaller
Like the .356, the .35 rem does very well with cast flat points including the 250 gr. flat point gas check bullet which is all I use now in my .356 Win. You don't need to break the bank to get the best results with the .35s, like some are want to do.
