Barnes has discontinued the MRX bullet line - anyone know why for sure ?

I love the MRX in my 7-08AI, i will have to run to cabelas,Whlesale and however else around here to buy up what I can find..

Cost is very prohibitive and they don't really offer much that the TSX or TTSX doesn't. They are probably not selling enough to make producing them worth while.

When you find one bullet that shoots as well as you can hope for and is extremely effective on game then why would you not stick with it?

I agree- its not all about the cost is it ? - i use 180 gr MRX in my 300 wby -group great and fly flat -

One reason I can think of is ... they stop making it.

Almost certainly the cost - I imagine "silvex"/ tungsten plus the rising prices for copper would only make this alreay expensive bullet more expensive.
