Have any of you used these bullets? I am thinking of loading up some for my 270 win. Would like to know if the accurracy is better.

Re: TSX

I've been loading 130 TSXs for both my .270 WSM and my hunting buddy's .270 Win. The accuracy from both our rifles is good, much less finicky than the original Barnes X-bullets. We both took mule deer does this last Saturday and the bullet performance was great! The .270 Win. gets 3100 fps out of a 22 inch barrel with a close to max charge of IMR 4831.

Thankyou for the information. I am going to buy 50 bullets and going to work up a load and see how they preform from my rifle.

accuracy is indeed better than regular X's and even the XLC's

X is probably the best hunting bullet out there, as long as you choose a proper weight. Not too heavy...I'd go for 120-130's in your 270 for deer and 140's for moose elk and bear

Todd's bang on , they are very accurate, I have loaded them in four different rifles and accuracy is excellent and they penetrate like crazy but still open fast.

Free in MB. - which is good because I'd of been pissed if I had to pay for what was essentially a commercial. I had hoped for some real information in that CD, but nice graphics aside I was a little disappointed.

I've got 50-300 grs loaded for my .375, just waiting for the wind to drop a little, - like in June!!

I decided not to wait till June, so.... -20 something and windy, out to the range I went. 3 shot fired from the bench at 100 - three shots touching. Not bad for a .375 RUM carbine and a scout scope. So yes - the TSX's will shoot - from a clean barrel.
