I have been reloading Barnes "X" original bullets for awhile and now most mail order books have the "triple shock" and the MR-X bullet and it seems that the originals are actually fading slowly!! What is the future for the original "X" bullet?? Should I make the switch to the triple shocks? What about my favorite load with originals?
I need advice on this before my moose hunt.

Give the TSX's a try. Chances are you will get better accuracy and better terminal effects. Your loads may require some tweaking, but because there is less friction due to the banded shank, pressures will not be as high with the TSX. Loading both bullets with the same load in my .375, I lost less than 25 fps, and the groups went from 2 MOA to .75 MOA. I'm not going to adjust the load for 25 fps.

I decided to make the switch to the TSX
I'll start with the same load as with the originals but probably a couple of grain below, just to be safe.
I can't wait to try them out!
Thanks guys!

P.S. Anybody has a load for them in 338 Win. Mag. 225 gr. bullet??
