my brother shot a whitetail last year with his 270 wthby mag. shot was quartering away at 100yds or so. bullet went through every rib on the deers right side the on through the shoulder bone right at the joint and out the front of the animal, no recovered bullet. deadly performance despite a less than perfect hit, had it of been a "traditional" bullet probably would have bounced of the side and we would have been lookin for a wounded animal.
