barrel and shot/slug qustion

so I recently picked up a mossburg 55 bolt 2-3/4 this gun dose not have a choke on it (barrel might of been shotend??) anyways what I want to know is should it be ok to shoot slugs from it and would buck shot/bird shot be ok aswell if I did use it for slugs .. I believe the gun is pre 68 where there is no sn on the gun

You should be able to fire anything you want. You will have limited range with shot because of an open pattern. Slugs should be ok, but the only way to find out is to try.
