Barrel blank... .243

I have an s8 contour and a#7 both Shilen select match barrels, highest grade Shilen sells. These are ready to ship from Shilen and should be here shortly. Are you doing the chambering yourself? What action are you using, what cartridge?

I am designing a tacticool rifle... Using a savage bolt and action in .243...I want copy the rem 700p sps 20 inch barrel design where end has a 0D of .750 to .850 ish...still playing with numbers...action and barrel will be mounted in a alum tacticool stock which in the design phase... Barrel length 21 to 22.5 inches roughly...I plan on doing everything my self so please watch out weird noobie questions...

Shooting at those distances will require a longer barrel than 20 or 22" go for something that will finish @ 30 in 1-7.5" twist so you can shoot the 115's.
