Barrel boring

I'd want to hear from Ron before I decided what was or wasn't feasible.

Which reminds me...I have a 257 Weatherby that could stand to be something else. With a rebore and a few small mods it could be a 340 Weatherby, or 8mm RM. Hmm...

I've worked for Ron. It's not possible.

A .25 Cal barrel is .250/.257 Bore/Groove. A .26 Cal is .256/.264 Bore/Groove.As you can see, there isn't even enough meat to clean up the previous rifling. You need more of a jump for it to be possible.

Ron did a few for me previously, they all turned out great. Are others still having good luck re-boring? I think the turn around time was quite a few months though
