Same here; that S&W is a tuff gun.

That is why I posted it. I thought the guns would blow - but they did not.

Over the years I have deliberately blown up some guns - or tried to.

A case of pistol powder in a rifle will usually do the job.

But shooting a round into a barrel obstruction can be interesting. Generally, if the obstruction is close to the chamber - nothing happens. If it is near the muzzle, things happen.

I bet the S&W will be fine if you cut/trim the barrel a little.
A 4.2 inch long barrel would be a blast to shoot by any means.
