Barrel Bulge !

Well the last trip to the range was a little crappy. My ruger P89 jammed. got her home and finaly got it apart. the barrel has a bulge in it. I'm thinking it's a failed powder drop on my part but woundering what's next. what's my best chance of getting a new barrel for it? does a gunsmith have to install it? Or is this Do it yourself kinda job? advice would be much appreciated.

Can you not just order a new barrel from Brownel's or whatever?

Glad to hear that nothing worse happened...
I would simply order a new barrel but would also have the gun checked by a gunsmith before using it again. Just to be safe...

I don't believe that Ruger will sell you a barrel.

If you send it in, they will fix it - in a few months.

Where is the bulge?

Sounds dumb, but the barrel does flare at the end... or is it right near/in front of the chamber?
