Barrel contour help

Wanting to order a vudoo sinister with a greyboe terrain or outlander hunting style stock. Need help deciding on a barrel contour. One option is the lighter weight .850” and goes down to .680” at the muzzle or the slightly heavier ish barrel .950” and .870” at the muzzle. Want this to be a varminting build. I already have a vudoo v22 in a bravo chassis with the barrel .950”-.870”. I don’t like pencil barrels but .680” at the muzzzle is not that thin is it?

It's not that thin, but it would be lightweight. A Model 70 Featherweight is about 560 at the muzzle, and its pretty darn scant.

If you want it to be a Varmint build, go with the heavy barrel.

I think I’ll go with the slightly thicker barrel @ .870” at the muzzle and have them flute the barrel to remove some weight. Spiral fluting looks like it removes quite a bit of material

Look at a MDT chassis which could save you a lot of weight.
