Just take more guns to the range with you. When I'm shooting my 338 Lapua or my 308 for accuracy I just take a few shots then go play with a 223 or a handgun for a little while and let the rifle cool off. It's too boring sitting and waiting for it to cool.

This is what i do as well.
I set up a 25 yard target right next to my shooting bench with my long gun on it. I just shoot my handguns while my rifle cools.

if you want to simulate hunting situations then fire 2 shots in a quick succession, before barrel starts drifting from heat. Then cool it off. You will have a few two-shot groups at the end of a day. In a good rifle you will be surprised how close two shot groups are. It will be close to having both shots being fired from cold barrel. Other than that, like suggested, have multiple rifles.
