Barrel for SIG 516

Where can I buy good barrel for my SIG 516 patrol? Currently it is 16", and I am thinking or replacing it with 14.5" barrel.

Who would you recommend to install it? What brand of barrels would you recommend?

Didn't realize it was a standard barrel underneath all of the proprietary gas piston parts... I do know that it has a proprietary barrel nut and you need special tools to get it off - so I had assumed there was something about the barrel that made it less than interchangeable.

I do not know though!

Did some checking, the barrel itself is in fact a standard ar15 barrel and they do have a proprietary barrel nut, so you would have to buy/make a barrel wrench.

As for barrels some sight sponsors at the top of the page either have or can get barrels, also try Alberta Tactical.

Do I need to register or have a RPAL to buy an upper only?

Do LMT or PWS uppers fit SIG 516 lowers?
