Barrel for tactical shotgun

I would say unless you are shooting slugs otherwise don't think rifled barrel has an edge when use with buck shot or and bird shot (was told the rifling makes the shot charge spinning and basically the pattern keep opening up during its travel).

define "tactical". a rifled barrel will spin whatever projectile is fired through it. If its shot, the column will spin and centrifugal force will cause the shot to radiate outwards in a circle. You get a big donut pattern. Some foster slugs like rifling, others dont care. Sabot ammunition is expensive but fires a large caliber rifle bullet with a better ballistic coeffecient. Smooth bore is my choice as it will fire a wide variety of ammo. Threaded for chokes is even better.
