Thinking of getting a new barrel and am wondering if anyone has ordered one form either of these places? Any recommendations?

don't bother, you will have to hope it gets over the border.

If you want a good value, go for a Green Mountian barrel. Our friend Willwagspal can hook you up;)
 
hawktech will ship it to canada. I haven't had a problem. I have a 22 mag barrel being shipped from whistlepig right now should be here this week.

how much did the Whistle pig cost ya? bullbarrel? flutted? anodized?

parts yes. no prob, I order parts from hawktech every month.

A barrel is a whole different story, if canada customs decide to open your package you may never see that barrel again (***speculation***)

Canada Customs does not have a problem with guns or parts. It's U.S. customs that makes the determination. I had a package from DPMS stopped by U.S. Customs and sent back to DPMS with a slap on their wrist as it was over the $100.00 limit.

I have declared lots of gun stuff at Canada Customs. They just collect the taxes and send you on your way.:p
 
Ordered barrel from Rimfire sports, package was opened by customs, 16' Bull Fluted Green mountain, ordered it on a Tuesday or wednesday, had it the following week. That loud noise you heard was my head hitting the floor.
