Looking at a revolver online description says there is a slight
Ring mark half way down the barrel .
It doesn't appear to have a bulge on the outside what caused this ring?
Should I be concerned? Is it safe?
It is priced cheaper than comparable revolvers.
Advice and comments please.
Thanks
Dan

It probably means it was fired with a small obstruction in the barrel. It could have been anything. It probably is safe to shoot but it may or may not shoot well. It most certianly will affect the value of the gun and it won't be a positive affect.

It happens when a squib load isn't noticed and a round is fired with that squib bullet stuck in the barrel. It will affect accuracy, probably won't blow up with low pressure rounds.....should be rebarreled as soon as possible if the ring is too close to chamber to shorten the barrel.
