Barrel Length...18.5" or 20"

I will soon be purchasing a new toy and wanted opinions on what barrel length would be good for my shottie.

I will be using it for 3 gun competitions as well as hunting (Grouse and Rabbit) and was trying to figure out what would be best for both uses.

if you get the 20" length with a magtube of equal length you can get an extra round capacity which is great for for 3 gun. other than that there's no real difference...

That's why I was leaning towards the 20" barrel.....the one I'm looking at has an 8 shell cap with the 20" barrel. Mossberg Persuader is the shottie I was leaning towards.

For IPSC 3 gun I bought the rem 18" barrel "riot gun". We don't use the different divisions so .... now I have a 28" on with the big mag extension (10 rounds total). You might want to check out if you use different divisions.

I bought a 18" bbl. That's replacing my previous 28" one
would that change the 470 mm or greater cassification, ... do I need to let them know about it, or just go ahead blasting grouse?
