barrel length and pressure?

Wondering if barrel length affects pressure? If I have a 26" barrel and load data I have is for a 20" are listed max charge weights going to become unsafe?

I always start at min and ladder my way up but am curious none the less

No.

Most rifle loads reach maximum pressure after the bullet has travelled 1"-2". Very large overbore cartridges might reach peak pressure after 3" of bullet travel. Pistol and shotgun loads reach peak pressure after much shorter travel of their bullet/shot.
