Been looking into what to get for a custom barrel for 6.5cm and noticed prb did a test and actually lost velocity past I think it was 26 or 27 inches?
I'm wondering if that couldn't be caused by the powder being mostly burnt before the bullet leaves the barrel?
And if I'm thinking right maybe doing a 30" barrel and dropping to something like retumbo with 147gr eld-m might get better velocities?
Wouldn't a longer barrel and tighter twist end up with more frictio therefore slowing the projectile substantially if the pressure isn't there to keep pushing?
