A newbie to handgun scene, I was wondering about barrel length resctriction. What's the length of barrel for restricted, and under what length makes it Prohib? Sorry for the bother.

Actually it is longer than 105mm

106mm is the shortest you can go before it is cosidered prohib.
The barrel has to be longer than 105mm, so any measurable length past 105mm is legal (ie: restricted not prohibited). A 105.00000001mm would be fine provided the measuring equipment could measure that 0.0000001 overage.

There are different ways prescribed for measuring revolvers and autoloaders. AFAIK, autoloaders are measured from breechface to muzzle, just as a rifle's barrel length is measured.
For a revolver, is it the actual length of the barrel, or the length from the cylinder face to the muzzle?

You are correct. Autoloaders are measured from the muzzel to the back of the breachface, which includes the chamber.

Revolvers are measured from the muzzel to the forcing cone, but not including the cylinder.

Its just bad government policy.

You'll also find the CFC considers whatever the manufacturer says a barrel length is determines what they think it is. So if Ruger for example says a barrel is 4" that's what the CFC says itis no matter how long it actually measures. .00000001mm doesn't count.
