Hi Everone
I am looking to make the plunge and get a Rimx with the PVA barrel. I am looking at either the 20.5'' or the 24'' with 1-12 twist ,I am going to be shooting 50- 200 yards odd time to 300. What are you's finding what shoots best. Is 200 plus yards to much for the 24'' barrel or does it handle it fine with accuracy.
Thanks George:unsure:

Most guys today are opting for 24” when available. Friend of mine has a RimX with a 24” PVA 1:16 twist, tuna can tuner and Triggertech diamond in a MPA Comp Chassis he’s looking to part with…..
PM me if you’re interested.

I shoot a 1:12 twist 22” in my CZ and honestly, I don’t see any gain from the faster twist rate. It shoots lights out tho but so does my 1:16 16” ProVarmint barrel without a match chamber. Good barrels are good barrels it would seem.

1:12 will have slower velocity than a 1:16. We have a theory that the 1:12 twist gives more spin drift when the wind is pushing left to right. YMMV.

We shoot out to 300m. Buy what you like and drive it like you stole it.

go for the 24" if youre looking at shooting prs, its much easier to balance.

the top shooters in prs are trending back to 1-16 twist, theres not enough points out where the 1-12 would shine to justify the performance loss inside 200 yards.

i shoot a 26" 1-12 gain twist, and its served me well. i might switch to 1-16 still.
