Actually, unless you are using iron sights, barrel length has little or no effect on accuracy. Because they are generally stiffer, short barrels can be every bit as accurate as a longer one. Long barrels add velocity, not accuracy. However, the bolt action will likely be slightly more accurate than will that pump action, simply due to bedding, etc. That being said, I have seen some Remington pumps that delivered surprising accuracy.
I personally have no use for barrels shorter than 22", but in some tight situations, a short barrel is an advantage. Regards, Eagleye.
