barrel length

Hey there,
I am in the making of a tacticool shotgun, getting a Mesa tactical LEO stock, side shell saddles, +2 mag extension, but I'm looking for a new barrel, since the one i have has rifle sights and a rifled barrel so it is only good for sabot slugs.

What do you guys suggest for the length of the barrel? 18" or 20". Who carries spare barrels? I've seen some at Wolverine for around 180$.

Check the EE. there is always barrels for sale. If you are going to add ghost rings buy a longer barrel and cut it to 18 or 20 inches. You can often get a 30 inch full choke for under $100.

IMO, nothing raises the tacticool status of a shotgun more than a sub 18" barrel, of course you'll have to give up a round or two but the fast handling and mean look is well worth it IMO.

14" barrels for a serious social encounter shotgun works best for me.
