When a barrel is advertised as 12" or 18.5", does that include the section that gets inserted into the receiver??

Yes , the barrel is measured from the chamber opening to the muzzle.

Thank you. I want a shorter barrel, but Im worried that the 12" will be too short.

So this might be a dumb question, but can you use any type of AR muzzle breaks / F.Suppressors on a threaded barrel for a 10/22? Is there any risk that the round will strike the muzzle break?
