Generally, the availability of barrels in Canada is going from bad to #### ####ing awful.

Track of the Wolf no longer exports even so much as barrel liners to Canada any more.

For anyone who has recently applied for an import license to get barrels from the USA on your own, how onerous is it? I am thinking of applying for one of these permits.

I did it a while ago, but this was some years ago & I am wondering how much of a #### show it is now.

This process by the way is a bit of a #### show from the Canadian side, which is where you have to start.

Even still, TOTW will not ship it north even with the import license in your grubby foreign hands.

Anyways, I am thinking of importing some stuff like that from Numrich.

The problem (as I understand it) is with the US rules. US company's can get in deep $hit with their government if they even by accident ship something out of the country that they shouldn't. Apparently US legislation is just as complex and ridiculous as ours is. A Canadian Import licence won't help at all.

You can't do it on your own. Major components of a firearm, receiver, barrel, bolt, must have a US export license (for that particular shipment), regardless of value of the item.

A US export license can only be obtained by an exporter registered with the US State Department. The minimum annual cost of registration for an exporter is about $2,750. In addition, there is a cost for every export license.

Also, not only does the exporter have to be registered with the State Department, but the manufacturer of the item.

Is "Walther" the fellow at "I Run Guns"? If not then we need to talk the fellow or folks at "I Run Guns" into expanding their business out to barrels and liners.

You never heard of Lothar Walther?. . . . . .

I think I will pass on "I Run Guns" or any other Canadian middleman & talk as directly as possible if I ever order anything of this nature.
